After North Korea conducted a missile test, which the Pentagon claimed as a failed attempt, US President Donald Trump has tweeted, “North Korea disrespected the wishes of China and its highly respected President when it launched, though unsuccessfully, a missile today. Bad!” The Trump Administration earlier praised China and its President Xi Jinping for influencing Pyongyang in not carrying either nuclear test or missile test.
