DMK working President MK Stalin, when asked about Jayalalithaa’s death, said, “ Initially, there was no update or official announcement on Jayalalithaa's death, while there were legitimate statements at the time of Annadurai and MG Ramachandran’s death.” Meanwhile, Stalin also questioned why Subramanian Swamy, the original petitioner in the disproportionate assets case, supported Sasikala in taking over as Chief Minister. Further, he asked the people of the state to take part in the DMK led protest on February 22.
