Supreme Court on Friday ordered a ban on the sale of alcohol at liquor vends, restaurants, pubs and bars along the highways from the 1st of April. SC also ordered to remove liquor banners and ads from these spots. The top court modified its order banning liquor vends within 500 meters and reduced the distance to 220 meters in areas with a population of up to 20,000 on national and state highways.
