No GST on Tirupati laddu and human hair

The Andhra Pradesh government demanded the GST council to exempt prasadam and human hair at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) from tax. Accepting the government's request GST council on Sunday has reportedly decided to exempt prasadam and human hair. Notably, the board also reduced the rates on agarbathis, biogas and cashew nut from 12% to 5%.
