Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday reportedly dismissed the reports of massive layoffs in the Indian information technology sector. Calling the reports of layoffs as “completely wrong”, Ravi Shankar reportedly said, "Today the sector employs about four million people directly and 14 million indirectly." He also said IT giants in India have assured to recruit thousands of professionals in the coming years.
