According to reports, Automaker Nissan is recalling more than 54,000 Nissan Versa vehicles over defect in the airbags. Reportedly, the curtain and seat-mounted airbags may unexpectedly deploy when the door is slammed, increasing the risk of injury. It says the problem may be caused by the degradation of the side impact sensor connector pins, adding that dealers will install a new jumper harness and replace the side impact sensors free of charge.
