According to reports, a youth named Ranjith was killed by two men on a bike on January 19 near Valluvarkottam. Based on the CCTV footage found in the area, Nungambakkam police have arrested the duo, identified as Karthikeyan and Naveen Kumar. Ranjith ran to escape when the duo tried to snatch his cell phone. The victim was stabbed in his neck and ran for his life. CCTV footage shows Ranjith running with his neck stabbed, while the two men chase him on a bike.

தொடர்ந்து இந்த வழக்கு சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்துக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டது. இந்த நிலையில், நித்யானந்தா மீதான வழக்கை இன்று விசாரித்த நீதிபதி, நித்யானந்தா தரப்பு பதில் மனு தாக்கல் செய்யாததற்கு கடும் கண்டனம் தெரிவித்தார்.

 

மேலும், பிப்ரவரி 2-ம் தேதிக்குள் பதில் மனு தாக்கல்  செய்யாவிடில், நித்யானந்தாவைக் கைது செய்ய உத்தரவிட நேரிடும் எனவும்,  நீதிபதி எச்சரித்துள்ளது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

தி.மு.க-வின் இந்த போராட்டத்துக்கு வைகோ, திருமாவளவன் உள்ளிட்ட கூட்டணிக் கட்சித்தலைவர்களும் ஆதரவு தெரிவித்து, களத்தில் இறங்கி போராடி வருகின்றனர்.

 

அனுமதியின்றி போராட்டம் நடத்திய காரணத்துக்காக தஞ்சை, திருவண்ணாமலை, புதுக்கோட்டை உள்ளிட்ட பகுதிகளில் சுமார் 1,௦௦௦-க்கும்  மேற்பட்டோரை போலீசார் இதுவரை கைது செய்துள்ளனர்.
