A new multi-sports Stadium was unveiled at the IIT Madras campus on Wednesday. The 5,300 square meter stadium will play host to a synthetic race track, which was awarded Class II Athletic Facility Certification by the International Association of Athletic Federations. It will also include provisions for long jump, triple jump, spectator gallery with new flooring. Meanwhile, the inner bowl of the track will be able to host short put, football and Cricket.
