According to a study, fluctuating climate during the Ice Age could have led to modern humans moving to different habitats and adopting different dietary patterns. The Neanderthals lived for thousands of years even as the temperatures severely fluctuated during the Ice Age. However, the study says adopting different dietary strategies could have given the modern humans an upper hand over the Neanderthals.
