Tanika Dhara, a 23-year-old national swimmer, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Mumbai. Tanika clinched a silver medal in the 1m springboard event at the 70th National Aquatics and also bagged a bronze in 35th National Games in 2015. Reportedly, Tanika has been working with the Western Railway. The police reportedly said the motive behind the suicide is yet unknown and the investigation is on.
