More than 100 die in Colombia landslides

According to reports, at least 112 people were killed in landslides in southwest Colombia and many more were injured. Banks of rivers were burst and homes were flooded after hours of overnight rain in Putumayo province. President Juan Manuel Santos, who has travelled to the area, said troops had been deployed as part of a national emergency response.
