After the meeting between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Jallikattu issue, the PM office’s twitter handle tweeted, “The Centre would be supportive of steps taken by the State Government.” According to reports, PM Modi has said that the Central government can not take any action immediately as the Jallikattu matter is presently sub-judice.
