Police recovered the body of a 7-year-old girl near Mangadu late on Tuesday. According to reports, Hasini allegedly went missing from her apartment while playing on Sunday after her parents went shopping leaving the girl alone at home. Police arrested Jaswanth, a mechanical engineer who confessed that he kidnaped the girl for ransom and the girl died when he tried to gag her. He also added that he carried the body in a bag to a nearby bush and burnt it using petrol.
