The ongoing protests over the ban on Jallikattu reached the fifth day at the Marina Beach in Chennai on Saturday, with the plethoric number of people joining the protests as it continues to grow every day. Meanwhile, the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee is yet to pass the ordinance filed by the Tamil Nadu government, seeking amendments to the PCA Act. Notably, the protest entered its sixth day at the Jallikattu belt of Madurai-based Alanganallur village, with people staging protests in most parts of Tamil Nadu and by Tamil-origin people across the world.
