Sorav Borkotoki, a wildlife activist, attempted to rescue a black goat from the clutches of a 10-foot-long python in Tezpur in Assam. The python, which strayed into the house of a villager, captured its meal in broad daylight. As villagers came out with sticks and batons to kill the python after it dragged the goat out of the shanty, Borkotoki rescued it. He has so far rescued 500 snakes and pythons, say reports. While he rescued to goat from devouring by the python, the goat succumbed to injuries.
