Over 4,000 doctors belonging to the Maharashtra's government hospitals have stayed away from their duty on Monday. The mass protest is said to be a retaliation against the attack on a working doctor by irate relatives of a patient who died during treatment. However, the emergency services were not affected due to the protest.
