The Madras High Court on Friday reportedly quashed the Tamil Nadu government’s order notifying 85% reservation for State Board students in admissions to UG medical courses under State quota. This comes after a CBSE student filed a petition challenging the legality of the move and contended that powers to regulate admission to medical courses lies exclusively with the Medical Council of India.
