According to reports, Karnataka authorities have banned people from entering the sea at beaches in the Dakshina Kannada district until the end of August. Reportedly, the decision was due to dangerous high tides and harsh water in the Arabian Sea. This comes after several tourists drowned at beaches in the region last month. People found violating the ban will be booked for disobedience to a public servant, police officials said.
