An RTI reply has reportedly revealed that Indian skipper Virat Kohli, in 2015, was paid Rs 47.19 lakh from Kedarnath floods fund by the Uttarakhand government for appearing in a promotional video for the state’s tourism. According to reports, Surendra Kumar, media advisor to the CM Harish Rawat has said that there is nothing wrong in choosing a popular figure to promote the state's destinations. Kumar also added that everything was done in a legal way.
