Tamil Nadu state Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar has reportedly announced relief for the Nadukuppam fishers, on Saturday. According to reports, Jayakumar assured that financial assistance would be provided to the fishers of Nadukuppam, a fishing hamlet near Marina beach, which was damaged during the violence on the last day of Jallikattu protests. Notably, Jayakumar also added that the Chennai Corporation would set up the fish market temporarily in Nadukuppam.
