The ECB on Wednesday confirmed that opening batsman Jason Roy is set to leave the Gujarat Lions camp and will return to England to face Ireland in an ODI series. Upon completion of the series, Roy will not come back to Gujarat and will instead represent his English county side Surrey in two Royal London One-Day Cup fixtures later this month. Reportedly, this is due to the lack of opportunity to play for Gujarat in the IPL.
