According to reports, the Jallikattu events to be held in Madurai’s Alanganallur and Palamedu village have been postponed indefinitely. This comes after the organisers met Madurai district’s collector Veera Raghava Rao on Friday and informed him about the proceedings. The organizers also added that the dates would be decided after their meeting with Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam on January 30. Notably, the Jallikattu event was scheduled to take place in Alanganallur and Palamedu on February 1 and 2 respectively.
