According to reports, the villagers, as a mark of protest against the Supreme Court and PETA, hold the historic Jallikattu event at the Madurai-based village of Alanganallur. Meanwhile, there has been protests by all over the Alanganallur in the form of on-road protest, with students seeking permission to conduct the event.
