Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, while presenting the Union Budget 2017-18, has said that the Centre is planning to eliminate diseases like Kala Azar & Filariasis by 2017, Leprosy by 2018, Measles by 2020 and Tuberculosis by 2025. Jaitley also added that one crore households for the poor, under Mission Antyodaya, and five lakh ponds would be constructed.
