Rights activist Irom Sharmila who recently launched her party People’s Resurgence and Justice Party has reportedly lost to Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh in the Manipur Assembly Elections. According to reports, Irom Sharmila secured just 90 votes, whereas Singh won comfortably with over 15,000 votes in the Thoubal constituency.
