INSPIRING: 12-YR-OLD TN GIRL DONATES RS 5,000 FROM MONEY RAISED FOR HER HEART SURGERY

A 12-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu with a heart condition donated Rs 5,000 to Kerala from the money she has been raising for a heart surgery. The girl who already underwent an operation last year needs a second and final surgery by November this year.

Akshaya from Karur has been diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Her family has been on the verge of mobilising Rs 2.5 lakhs for her heart surgery. It was at this point when Akshaya heard about the plight of Kerala and immediately wanted to help.

Reportedly, Akshaya's family had collected only Rs 20,000 so far. Akshaya was optimistic in helping Kerala despite her condition. She reportedly said, "I wanted to be of some help to the people of Kerala as they had come forward to help me when I wanted Rs 3.5 lakh in November last year for my first operation."
