CK Khanna, the President of the BCCI on Saturday confirmed India’s participation in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Further, he added that the 15-member squad for the tournament would be announced on May 8. This comes after the CoA ordered the board to name the squad, despite BCCI’s ongoing tussle between ICC. Notably, Indian coach Anil Kumble had voiced his opinion stating that his team must participate in the tournament, a move which was backed by his former teammates Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan.
