According to reports, India’s first ropeway will connect Mumbai with the Elephant island in the Arabian sea. The proposed ropeway will start from Sewri in Mumbai's east coast and end at Raigad district's Elephanta Island which extends for 8kms. Notably, the journey takes 40-minute approximately with few stops said the port officials.
