Indian players Yuki Bhambri and Ramkumar Ramanathan won the first match of the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group 1 against New Zealand on Friday. Bhambri defeated Finn Tearney 6-4, 6-4, 6-3, while Ramanathan outclassed Jose Statham 6-3, 6-4, 6-3. Notably, India’s doubles pair Leander Paes and Vishnu Vardhan will face Artem Sitak and Michael Venus of New Zealand on Saturday.
