According to reports, the petroleum ministry has advised the the Research and Development team of Indian Oil to take part in the containment of chennai oil spill. Reportedly, DMK MP Kanimozhi on Thursday urged the Centre for immediate intervention in the oil spill cleaning drive. Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar on Thursday reportedly said around 60 tonnes of oil was collected.
