India’s indigenous basic trainer aircraft, Hindustan Turbo Trainer-40, HTT-40, made its inaugural flight in Bengaluru on Friday. Developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the aircraft will be used for first-stage training of all flying cadets and can also be adapted as a light attack aircraft. The Indian Air Force has reportedly committed to purchasing 70 of these aircraft.
