Indian Army to use retired personnel

The Indian government has reportedly approved a host of reforms in the military to improve its financial management. One such proposal is using retired officers and jawans to run the National Cadet Corps (NCC). This move is expected to pave way for a leaner military. The move is said to be one of the ninety proposals put forward by the committee of experts, headed by Lt. Gen. D.B. Shekatkar (Retd).
