The Kashmiri Files, which was released last Friday, stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar amongst others. The film tells the story of the attack on Pandits in Kashmir in the 1990s and their attempt to flee. The film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri.
Appreciations on the film
After watching the film, which was released on March 11, Indian Prime Minister Modi personally met director Vivek Agnihotri and heaped praises on the movie. On the other hand, the Chief Minister of Tripura and Madhya Pradesh have announced tax exemptions for the film.
Similarly, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has announced a half-day special leave for the Government employees to watch the film.
Y Section Security
It has been reported that Vivek Agnihotri, the director of The Kashmir Files, has been given Y-category protection. For this type of security, 8 officers will be engaged in security work. It may include two commandos and a police officer.
In a similar way, in September 2020, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was given Y-category protection by the federal Government.
