"MY WIFE IS NOT A FEMALE" - STRANGE DIVORCE PLEA FILED BY HUSBAND IN SUPREME COURT!

A man from Madhya Pradesh has filed a complaint in the Supreme Court seeking a divorce as his wife is not a female.

Marriage

The couple from Madhya Pradesh got married in July 2016. The wife had gone to her parents' house due to early menstruation. Later, the woman started living with her husband. At the time, the husband was suspicious of his wife's gender.

Medical examination

Following this, the husband took his wife to the hospital and a medical examination revealed that the woman had a medical condition called 'Imperforate hymen'. Doctors said that she needed immediate surgery and cannot not conceive in the future.

Anger

The wife post her surgery returned to her husband's house. 

Also, the husband has accused the wife's father of concealing the existence of such an issue and married her off with him. He has also filed a case under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code alleging that the father and daughter cheated on him. The case was dismissed by the Madhya Pradesh court. Following this, the husband had filed the case in the Supreme Court claiming that his wife is not a woman and sought a divorce.

Description

The bench comprising Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and MM Sundresh, which heard the case, has sent a notice to the wife to comment on the petition filed by the husband.
