A Bengaluru businessman shocked everyone as he sets his own son on fire over money laundering.
Career
Surendra Kumar alias Babu hails from Samrajpet in Bangalore, Karnataka. The entrepreneur is 52 years old. He has recently handed over his clothing business to his son Arpit (25 years old). It is learned that Surendra Kumar paid around Rs 1.5 crore to his son for the business.
Argument
Arpit was in his company located in the Valmiki area of Bangalore. It is said that Surendra Kumar, who was there at the time, had asked his son about the money he had given. As Arpit did not respond properly and an angry Surendra poured some liquid on his son and set the body on fire with a matchstick. Neighbors rushed to the scene and admitted Arpit to Victoria Hospital.
Tragedy
Arpit, who was treated at the hospital, died yesterday morning. Following this, Bangalore Police have arrested Surendra Kumar based on a complaint lodged by a neighbor.
Surendra Kumar is said to have set fire to Arpit for not accounting for the money given during the investigation.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Surendra Kumar had poured paint thinner on Arpit. Arpit was admitted to the Hospital with 60 percent burns, police said and he succumbed during treatment on Thursday.
