A Delhi youth who went on a trip to the Lonavla forest has been reported missing by the police.
Dense forest
Lonavla Forest is located near Pune in the state of Maharashtra. These forests are located between the Deccan Plateau and the Konkan Sea. The two hills in it attract a lot of tourists. It is not uncommon for the number of people coming to these forests to increase significantly during the monsoon season. Also, the caves here are very popular. But police say the forest has another face.
Since 2005 ..
Irfan Shah, a 24-year-old from Delhi, went trekking alone in the jungle last Friday. Police were then informed that he was missing. Police say they are working with a local organization to rescue him.
Due to the complex geography and dense jungle, some of the travelers to the forest occasionally disappear. According to the police, 600 people have been lost in the jungle since 2005.
