Global media watchdog, Reporters Without Borders on Thursday reportedly released the World Press Freedom Index 2017. According to reports, India has slipped three places to 136 from last year's 133. Notably, the rank above 135 is colour-coded in red, which means the situation as "difficult." The report also cited "threat from Modi's nationalism" as the reason for India's lower ranking.
