Yeddyurappa may resign before trust vote: Local media reports.

Local media in Karnataka report that Chief Minister Yeddyurappa may resign before floor test in the Karnataka Assembly if he thinks he doesn’t have enough numbers to prove majority support. Reports suggest that the BJP strongman will deliver an emotional speech and resign.

Further reports suggest that only three MLAs are not present in the state Assembly where all the elected MLAs including Yeddyurappa and Congress’ Siddaramaiah took oath as legislators. Meanwhile, Congress legislators Anand Singh and Pratap Gouda Patil reportedly left to the Assembly from Bengaluru’s Goldfinch hotel, say reports.

The floor test will begin at 4 pm. Congress party has reportedly instructed all its MLAs to keep calm in the Assembly if anyone tries to provoke them. Any unruly behaviour by MLAs will lead them to be ousted.
