INDIA'S PRESS FREEDOM RANKING FALLS DOWN TWO PLACES

The 2018 World Press Freedom Index was released by Reporters Without Borders on Wednesday. According to the index, journalists from around the world are facing hate more than last year. Compared to last year, India came down two places and was ranked 138 in a total of 180 countries. The report blamed physical violence against journalists in India like Gauri Lankesh's murder as the reason for the low ranking.
Norway topped the list with Sweden following second and North Korea was ranked the last.
