Karnataka BJP MLA Basangouda S Patil Yatnal has advised all corporators to work for the development of only Hindus, not Muslims. Speaking at a function in Bijapur on Monday, Yatnal reportedly said, “I had called all corporators and have told them that they should work for Hindus and not Muslims…who have voted for me in Bijapur.”
He further added that he instructed the corporators to not allow women clad in burkas, bearded men and those wearing caps, referring to Muslims, in his office or beside him. Stating that Hindus are the one who ensured his win in the elections, the lawmaker added that elections are a war between Hindus and Muslims.
The video of his speech is now going viral on social media. The BJP politician served as an MP and Minister of State in the Vajpayee government.
