WOW! WOMEN POLICE TO PATROL HYDERABAD FOR THE FIRST TIME

According to reports, women police officers are to patrol on the streets of Hyderabad to prevent crime against women. This initiative called "Women on Wheels" will be the first of its kind in the city.
Reportedly, the number of women constables have increased in the police force and hence it became important to bring them to the mainstream so that they can perform duties including that of men. Hyderabad Additional Commissioner (Crime and SIT) Shika Goel reportedly said, "The women who are now joining forces are capable and confident of performing all the duties."
Twenty women constables will be patrolling on two-wheelers in 17 sub-divisions in Hyderabad. The women constables have been provided with a two-month training in combat skills, driving skills and technological initiatives.
