WOMAN TRIES TO FLUSH DOWN STILL BORN BABY INSIDE PUBLIC TOILET

In a tragic incident being reported from Amboli in Mumbai, a woman gave birth to a stillborn child inside a public toilet and left the baby's body there itself. The woman even tried to dispose the body by attempting to flush it down the toilet.

Identified as 19-year-old Supriya Surya Kant Kanekar, the woman ran awy when she heard other people entering the toilet. Police have now registered a case against Kanekar. Police have sent the dead infant to a hospital for the post mortem. The Kanekar family was then questioned by the police over their role in the crime.

During interrogation by police, the accused woman spilled the beans and confessed to have done the crime.

Since she was medically unfit due to the unassisted childbirth, she has been sent to the hospital for treatment. According to Amboli Police Station Officer Bharat Gaikwad, legal action will be taken against her after the treatment.
