WOMAN UNDRESSED, CHOPPED HAIR OFF, THRASHED BY VILLAGE PANCHAYAT!

In a shocking incident, a woman from Koderma district of Jharkhand was allegedly stripped and her was hair was chopped off on suspicion of an ‘illicit’ relationship with her nephew.

According to reports, the woman revealed about her nephew’s advances to a few women from her village. But instead of helping her, they called for a panchayat on August 21 where they beat her up and chopped her hair off.

The woman had earlier filed a complaint with the police alleging that her 22-year-old nephew, identified as Sandip Saw, was taking advantage of her for the last three months in the absence of her husband. However, when the issue came before the villagers, the accused evaded by putting the blame on her.

“A total of 11 accused have been identified and a case has been registered on them. No arrests have been made and investigations are underway,” M Tamil Vanjan, Superintendent of Police, was quoted as saying by India Today.
