A woman in Odisha was tied to a pole and beaten up by villagers on April 14. Satyabhama Behera reportedly leads a self-help group and helps women in distress. However, this did not go well with the villagers.
Satyabhama was tied to a pole and beaten up mercilessly by villagers for allegedly interfering in their personal lives and not following social norms. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, an investigation was initiated.
