Noorjahan, a 27-year-old woman from Muzaffarnagar approached the cops saying that her husband Arshad Ahmed, gave her triple Talaq and then eloped with her sister, taking away Noorjahan's jewellery. Noorjahan claimed that her husband used to harass her for dowry and had also attempted to set her on fire. Noorjahan claimed that the cops refused to register a case while Saharanpur senior superintendent of police (SSP) Babloo Kumar countered the claim saying that if a proper complaint is made, action would be taken after due investigation.
