WEST BENGAL: 13 KILLED, 25 INJURED AFTER HIT BY LIGHTNING

According to reports, at least 13 people were killed, and 25 others were injured after being hit by lightning during a northwester in West Bengal. Reports said three people each died in Nadia, Murshidabad and North 24 Parganas districts, while Dakshin Dinajpur and Malda witnessed two deaths each. A senior official from the state disaster management reportedly said on Monday, “Most of them were outside their house and working in their fields while lightning struck them.”
