A five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi delivered one of the most anticipated verdicts on the Ram Janmabhoomi - Babri Masjid title suit today.
The Supreme Court allotted alternate land to Muslims for the mosque, meaning that a Ram Temple can be established on the disputed site.
Following the verdict, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shared a picture of MS Dhoni and Imran Tahir together and said we (Hindus and Muslims) are all one. "Ayo, we are all one and the same, ya! #yellove," the caption read.
The tweet has so far garnered thousands of likes, retweets and comments. "Wonderful creativity. We are all one," commented one Twitter user. "Yes, we are Indians first. Jai Hind" wrote another.
In the judgement, the court read, "Law must stand apart over political considerations, religion and beliefs. It is inappropriate for the Supreme Court to enter into the area of theology, true test is faith and belief of worshippers of mosque. ASI report that concludes Babji Masjid was not constructed on vacant land cannot be ignored. There is a structure underlying and that structure is not an Islamic structure."
"Titles can't be decided on faith and belief but on the claims, Historical accounts indicate the belief of Hindus that Ayodhya was the birthplace of Lord Ram. Once faith is established, courts should defer to it."
