A video of little school-going children jam-packed in a Karnataka SRTC bus has angered the social media.
With no space in the bus, the kids, both boys and girls, are seen hanging in the bus not even able to stand on the footboard.
The incident was reported on Thursday on a KSRTC bus running between Sagar and Barur route in Shivamogga, reports TOI.
"We sent an official on Saturday to conduct a survey. There was no major traffic choke on this route, and at this particular time, line-checking staff were inside the bus. We will conduct a route survey again and add additional trips during school hours," said a KSRTC official.
Overloading public transport has been an issue in the past and this incident has brought it to light once again.
"I hang my head in shame!"
Even after 7 decades of independence, if our girls/ boys have to go through so much trouble to reach school, then we need an answer NOW @KSRTC_Journeys. When will you fix this?
