A video of a mother elephant thanking people for rescuing her baby is going viral on social media. The video shows a baby elephant got stuck in a muddy hole in Thattekad while trying to cross the Urulanthanni River in Kerala. A group of elephants attempt to get him out in vain. However, the baby elephant was later rescued with the help of a few villagers. In what could be a surprising and emotional moment, the mother elephant waved her trunk towards the people to thank them for she was reunited with her baby. The elephants proceeded to the forest as the onlookers raised a loud cheer.
