DID VIRAT KOHLI WANTED TO SEND SANJU SAMSON FOR SUPER OVER BUT KL RAHUL OBJECTED?

India yet again managed a thrilling finish when it defeated New Zealand in the fourth T20 International against New Zealand on Friday. While Kiwis scored 13 in the Super Over, India got there effortlessly.

"There's something new I've learnt in the last couple of games: when the opposition is playing well, you stay calm till the end and try to come back," Indian skipper Virat Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

"We couldn't have asked for more exciting games, we've never played Super Overs before and now we've won two. It shows the character of the team," he further said.

He also let it slip that he initially thought of opening with Sanju Samson and KL Rahul in the Super over, but the latter convinced himself to bat. "Initially we thought of opening with Samson and KL in the Super Over, but then KL told me I should bat because of the experience and the options I'll bring," he said.
